**Be the first to read the next big thing. Read a new chapter every 3 days until the exciting conclusion of Book 1.**
It's been a long time coming, but I've finally finished the first draft--charting the overall plot and characters from beginning to end--of the novel I've been working on for over a decade.
I've made great progress on my second draft, and am pleased to announce the public release of the first 100+ pages of the novel: Book 1, Reintroduction.
The Legend of the Elementals is, from the beginning, a story about four teenagers who each find themselves endowed with the power (talent) to control one of the four elements: wind, fire, water and stone. Thrust into an uncertain reality, they grow up quickly, unsure whether they are messengers on an errand, or heroes meant to save the world from the evil emperor Devidis.
So, yes, it's a fantasy, for better or worse. I hope it's more than fantasy, and more than welldone fantasy. It's my attempt to outdo Tolkien, Rowling--I didn't finish the second Potter book-- Orwell, Card, Lloyd Alexander, Terry Brooks, and just about every other author I've read.
Ambitious? Yes. Shockingly ambitious? If so, so much better for publicity.
Either way, please do me the favor of reading what I've been working on for so long, and, not forgetting that this isn't a finished product, let me know how I'm doing.
If only a few people really really enjoy it, then I'll be satisfied... for now, as I keep working.
Stay tuned for updates.
